reformatted
I recently reformatted my harddrive and have found the driver i believe i need from this database. it says on the chipset that it is a cirrus logic 5446. however when i try to install the driver i get a error that it has no information on my hardware. i have double checked the id number on the chip set and i am absolutely sure of the id number and manufacturer. however when i run the idchip program from cirrus it says it isn't a cirrus chip. DEAR GAWD HELP ME!!!!!!!

If you can find a copy of MSD.exe that will tell you what the chip is. MSD was part of DOS 6.22.

http://www.isdcorp.com/downloads/cir.../clgd5446.html
thats the video driver website, however the file is "zipped" did you unzip it (extract it) before you tried to use it? If you need something to unzip it with go to winzip.com
and get winzip, its free.
