[RESOLVED] Win 98 Backup
What is the best way to back up my hard drive to CDR. Then I could reinstall it from backup not having to reinstall windows?

Make an image with Drive Image or Norton Ghost. Burn the image to a cd along with the drive image or ghost folder and make the cd bootable.
You can automate the process of restoration but be careful, one wrong slip and its bye bye to the data on the partition or drive !

Boot with the cd. IE by changing to boot from cd rom in the bios.
Change to the cd rom then the ghost folder. Run ghost. Restore.
Ghost works fine under dos. when making the cd just put the ghost folder from your hard drive onto the disk. If you make the CD bootable with a 98 boot disk you will have access to everything as though you had booted with a floppy.
If you can't boot from cd rom in you bios just use a 98 boot disk.
I use this system, it works !
