    explorer error

pc is running winme and shortly after booting into windows, it gives me this error message " Explorer has caused an error in ~7968897285.tmp and must close." if i close this windows the machine loses the start bar and can only be shut or restarted by ctl-alt-del. If I leave this window open and just move it out of the way, the pc works all day without a problem. I've run adaware and spyhunter and got rid of a ton of spyware; online virus scanners come up clean.
    any thoughts?

It's some type of spyware residue, I'm pretty sure. I'd recomend Hijack This and spybot search & destroy. Between the two of them, they should catch anything adaware & spyhunter missed.
