[RESOLVED] RE-Install win98SE
Hi Guys.
I have win98se installed on a system.I keep getting EXPLORER Performed illegal operation on boot up.I would like to put 98 back over the top but with out losing any of the data.Is it possible to acheive this hopefully by puting it over the top it might fix any corrupt files and fix the problem with Explorer.What you think

Although I've heard it is never a good idea to re-install an OS over itself, I've done it numerous times and have not suffered any major glitches.
Mind you, this was re-installing the exact same OS.
Why not try to re-install/repair/update Internet Explorer instead?
