Registry
Hi There
Can someone tell me how to edit win 95b registry? Every time I boot windows tell me that a file is missing (windows tell me to unstall the program as the registry is looking for it )
C:\ windows\system\vm32\esuart.uxd. The file went with DsiV90 Modem I tried to unstall it through control panel but it give me a error, I reinstall the software and tried to uninstall it but I get the same errors. I don't used this modem as I could not get it to work It is a PCI 56K with voice. It would lockup the computer every time I tried to boot.
I look forward to any and all the help I can get.
Thank you. Winston

Click start, then run. Type "regedit" and hit enter. Once the registry editor is open, hit edit, then find... and search for the file that you want to find.
BTW the file that you are looking for probably has a .vxd extension, not a .uxd.

If that doesn't work, edit system.ini, and remove the line that has reference to esuart.uxd in it. (Probably esuart.vxd though).
