No aux input...
OK, fellow guru's. I've got one that has me frustrated enough to go to the pub when I finish this...
Working on a Gateway Performance 866, Win 98SE. The Sound Blaster Live Value POS (piece of ...) audio card works just great. However, it will not use any of the external inputs that I can supply - TAD, CD-AUDIO and AUX. The driver came from Gateway for their part number 6001128.
I have a DVD drive and CD drive and each can supply line level audio without problem. Verified using CD-Player on each drive, a paper clip in the 3 connectors and shorting the speaker input connector to it. Good, strong audio.
I need a mixer that can switch those inputs. I have ensured that nothing is muted or anything simple like that. For hours I've worked on this. The standard Winders mixer leaves much to be desired. I think that if I could get my mits on a real SB mixer, it would work.
However, it would appear that the full software is not available for download.
Suggestions? Other than not drink and drive? (I'm walking to the pub)
Thanks in advance,
Kenny P.

In the properties for sndvol32 (windows mixer) you should be able to check boxes to bring up the other functions such as aux, pc speaker etc... Can you?
