    Sound problem..

well my computer got mess up. so i had to reinstall the window.. and before my bro were touchin the BIO setup.. put it in default... and after i just gave it to this computer store to reinstall the window.. and after it's window is reinstalled. they call that i need a sound card which i know i have.. so i brought the comp home and checked .. but there was no sound.. i tried to fix it.. but don't know wat's causing it..
there's a yellow(!) on multimedia audio controller.

i was trying and searching to fix my comp.
THIS IS WHAT I DID but still failed:

    * i went to BIO setup. and on Onboard i disable it.

    * Uninstalled and reinstalled multimedia audio controller.

*changed sound card that has same model.

this is wat i keep on getting.

    Welcome to Windrivers krnxlazyxboy

The data is invalid is a standard issue with xp machines. For some reason the registry decides you do not have the right to install the hardware.

there is a fix from microsoft here This happens to alot of different hardware, the fix applies to the entire hardware key, not just to the leadtek hardware shown in the article.

If the patch does not work for you here is a tutorial to do it manually

    tried to find what?

When you tried the manual adjustment, where you logged in as administrator? Did it allow you to change the security settings?

Did you download the patch? Logged on as Administrator?

Are the permissions still changed where you changed them?

The data is invalid message means that you do NOT have permission to install them.
