Welcome to Windrivers krnxlazyxboy
The data is invalid is a standard issue with xp machines. For some reason the registry decides you do not have the right to install the hardware.
there is a fix from microsoft here This happens to alot of different hardware, the fix applies to the entire hardware key, not just to the leadtek hardware shown in the article.
If the patch does not work for you here is a tutorial to do it manually

tried to find what?
When you tried the manual adjustment, where you logged in as administrator? Did it allow you to change the security settings?
Did you download the patch? Logged on as Administrator?

Did you log in as Administrator?
Are the permissions still changed where you changed them?
The data is invalid message means that you do NOT have permission to install them.
