Paging File
Hello people.. whats going on?
i having a problem with a windows 2000 box.
end user called me stating her paging file was corrupted.
i rebooted her pc and when you log in, windows get message that paging file was not enough and that windows changed paging file.
i have changed every damn set up for paging file and still does the same thing. i have never actually worked around paging file, because i never had this problem.
here is some info:
windows 2000 sp 4
512 mb ram
no viruses found when scanned
nothing has been removed or installed before this happened
(per client)(yeah right).
any ideas on what i can do to solve this problem??
thanks in advanced

Perhaps deleting the Pagefile entirely will fix this up.
boot off of the CD, use recovery console, and delete the c:\pagefile.sys file. When windows reboots it will recreate it, so no worries. Running a chkdsk /r from the recovery console wouldn't hurt while your in there either.

You could also check the Hard Drive status by using the diagnostic stuff on the manufacturers website. Perhaps the hard drive has a few bad sectors on it that cause it to fail.
