Resolved [RESOLVED] win98 se shutdown prob.

Changed drive from an old 3g to a new wd 10g ata100, used wd diag tools to move all files. Know when you go to shutdown the the machine never shuts down you have to manually shut it down. Win98se is all up to date bios is set to shut down. I am stumped, its my kids machine and it is driving me ****ing crazy!!!!!

    Try
    • Bois, settings for power on button set to Off
    • Goto run and type "MSCONFIG" (with out "" ) Than Advanced, and disable fast shutdown (check the box) this should stop the recycle
    • Also try power management in the control panel..
    • If not than down load the shutdown patch
