[RESOLVED] drive a access at shutdown
when i sutdown win 98se the computer goes to access the a drive. how do i stop this? also can you speed up the search time on drive a?

Clear out your documents menu (delete the contents of c:\windows\recent\) there might be a shortcut in there that refers to A:. More likely your antivirus software is set to scan A: on shutdown. Turn this option off in your antivirus software config.

Also you can scan the registry for a:\ and delete anything that isn't necessary (if you are experienced enough to know what is necessary and what isn't).
