    Resolved [RESOLVED] Power management Problem

    I accidentally clicked "yes" when Win98 prompted me to remove standby option from shutdown menu. How do I restore this?

    Open up your device manager from control panel\system. Expand the system devices branch. Remove the advanced power management entry if its there and restart the computer. If it does not reappear you may have to run "add new hardware" and let it be detected.

    According to Microsoft if this does not work you can try removing the floppy drive controller and restart. This resets the suspendflag in the registry.

    If this still does not work make sure APM is turned on in the bios.
