poor start
how can i get rid the virus program that
check my system every time i boot up.i have
unchecked the box in the start-up file.

Its probably being executed via Autoexec.bat.
Click on Start > Run > type sysedit and hit Enter.
Check the autoexec.bat file for any entries that point to your av program. If there are any, you can disable them by typing rem followed by a space infront of these lines.

It could be the Boot Virus Detection in the BIOS. If this is the case go into the BIOS and disable it. Depending on the set up you can normally find it in the Boot Menu.

If using 98, run msconfig, this will show all executables loading via the reg, ini's autoexec.bat, config.sys, etc.......
