    Dead Notebook/Good Drive/No Access

Here's one. My Notebook (Dell Inspiron 8100) dropped --- Dead.
I have a Kang external casing (firewire) and the drive (Fuji 60G) is intact. Dell sent a refurbished Inspiron 8600 as a replacement, which is apparently different enough to crash if I try to boot off the Fuji. I set up the included Hitachi 40G drive and plugged the Fuji60 into the 1394 port and can read it with no problem. Problem:
I can't get into the user protected files (Documents and Settings\Prime User\My Documents, etc.). Let's say Prime User is 'Puser'. I created the user Puser on the 8600 using the same password as on the 8100. No Go. I logged in as Administrator with original password. No Go. I connected to the Fuji60 from another computer over the network, mapped it to log in with user 'Puser' and original password. No Go. With the 8100's Admin/password... No Go.

Anyone out there able to crack this thing?
