Sceptre Monitors?
I am completely unfamiliar with the Sceptre monitor line. It is not distributed in Canada. Sometimes the product shows up in big box stores, but there is no official distribution.
Does any one have experience with their LCD monitors?
Quality? Reliability? I know they have only a one year warranty, which is mildly disconcerting and which seems to display a lack of confidence on the part of the manufacturer.

Intel Mod
Well I know nothing about them, but the company appears to have an iceberg...
"Manufacturing world-class products is just the tip of Sceptre's iceberg. "
From here:

They don't mind a pun either - their company mascot is a Komodo Dragon (a Monitor lizard...)
No mention of a dead pixel policy that I can find so far.

I noticed the monitor lizard joke also. I like it.
Luckily I managed to circumnavigate the iceberg, even though I was completely oblivious to its existence. Good thing. I could have ended up like the Titanic.

My downstairs neighbor has had a 17 inch Sceptre lcd for about 2.5 years with no problems. Decently bright.
