Managing activex controls in IE, or 'add-ons' as M$ confusingly put it ..
How do I know what activex components are installed without using some 3rd party tool ?
I got asked about this 1/2 a dozen times this week & I kept muttering 'can't you fools use google ?' quite a bit ..
But I see now the source of the confusion ! M$ in there infinite wisdom called the thing that manages these for IE 'the add-on manager' (no mention of activex, until you read it all carefully) & this appeared in sp2 for most users.
So as a 'tech tip' (& so I can find it again later !) - Control Internet Explorer Add-ons with Add-on Manager (from windows xp sp2 information)
