sidewinder joystick problem..
I posted here http://forums.windrivers.com/showthread.php?t=74647 but no response so I thought I would try here.
Ive been trying to get the sidewinder joystick working no luck so....
I went and bought a Logitech joystick, reinstalled windows (xp), updated everything, and still nothing.
First off to play any games I have to replace dinput8.dll with an older version otherwise the games wont launch. (always done this just thought I would mention it)
I go to launch the game (with joystick attached) and some times it gets to the menu of the game but then it flashes a blank screen once or twice like it's gonna die and then it crashes to the fricken desktop with an error thing, I click on details and its that damn dinput8.dll !!!!
Someone please help I just want to play MX vs ATV Unleashed

Hi,
Is it the force feedback pro version?
I had a problem a few years ago, trying to get my sidewinder FFB Pro to work with Microsoft Flight Simulator.
It took me ages to get it going, but I did in the end. I just can't remember how at present. I think it was a common problem and there was loads of support at the time.
Have you tried searches on the subject? If I can recall anything I'll let you know.
Kevin
PS. Microsoft actually list quite a few topics on the matter. GO HERE and type in SIDEWINDER in the search box.
