ANTIVIR update
When I initiate antivir update on Antivir personal (free) version, the report when viewed indicates, it goes to each of the antivir update sites and then reports it is unable to establish a connection. This just started a couple of days ago. anyone having the same problem or know a solution?
Thanks

Since an antivirus program is USELESS without updates, I suggest you uninstall it, clean it out of your comp, and try and download a replacement, even the same program again, and then update.

This does happen with them, it's purely down to the amount of people running it, if you persist it will update, or go to www.majorgeeks.com who post thei updates so you can download from them and update locally, should you decide to go with CCT's suggestion you will find several other free AV programs at that site, personally I recommend Grisoft.

Thanks all. That is what I thought. Actually I run AVG as well. I have been doing that antivir manual update so no real major problem just wanted to make sure there was no problem on my end. Thanks all.

You should never run more than one anti-virus software at one time, it can cause problems from failure to boot to neither actually doing the job they're supposed to as they conflict and stop each other from running, end result if you can boot is no AV protection at all, you should remove one for safety and stability, like I say I would stick with Grisoft if only because auto updating is frequent and never fails whilst the other frequently does.
