Recommended Backup/File Sync Solution?
I have a user with a small peer-to-peer network all systems running XP Pro. He uses one system as a file server that is always on and has a laptop that he does most of his work on but wants to sync that laptop up with the file server for backup purposes and also for access for other systems on the network. What program do you recommend for keeping the laptop and the file server synch'd?

What is he trying to accomplish, daily, or by the minute or hour sync?

Microsoft backup is included with XP Professional, and it works fine for my customers. You can choose what files to back up, when, and where you want to back them up.

My concern with the Microsoft backup is that it backs-up to a single backup file (compressed). The user wants to have the files accessible to the other computers on the network.
I setup a trial of Vice Versa Pro and it looks pretty good for syncing the files. It was quick and didn't give any errors....

I completely forgot about the briefcase! I haven't used that in quite a while. Thanks!
