I was trolling for some Jeff Beck stuff on YouTube tonight and found a clip of him joined by Jennifer Batten...dang that chick can play!! Here's a solo clip:

Yeah.. wow! I remember all the Guitar Player "Chix can play" articles about her and Lita Ford. Impressive. The list of people who can get on stage with Jeff and not get cut up is pretty small -- he is reported to be an evil dude who enjoys using his axe as a switchblade. Didn't see any blood anywhere on stage.

I have a love/hate thing for Beck. I buy most everything he records and am always blown away by his technique, but I wouldn't run back into a burning house to save any of his albums.

Another fav... Burnin' Vernon Reid.. (a headful of Hendrix, Fripp, Page, Ornette, etc.) ex Lvining Color, guitarist in Jack Bruce's touring and studio band, etc. Some of his more outside stuff:
