AVG detects a system file (user32.dll) as a virus
FAQ 1574 explains how to fix the problem.
Symptoms are that AVG says user32.dll is a virus... the virus is removed and then the pc won't boot or continually boots.
If you click the link to FAQ 1575 it explains how to download a tool created for fixing the problem.
Either way, many home users will be afraid to try these fixes since it requires changing the boot sequence if the tool is used oh and there is the nice message about deleting all the boot files. Way to go AVG.
Let's hope that not too many people are affected.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

This is not uncommon for this budget antivirus.
I guess you get what you pay for. (wait its free it has to be good)
I use radmin on several customer computers and it
regularly deletes the radmin files.
I have to actually remove it from the registry before it will reinstall.
Nice when a free program randomly deletes a paid program
7.5 and 8 have done it.

It was the pay version that did the deleting, not the free one.
