Dell Inspiron 1100 LCD woes...
Hello all. Got a real stumper here.
I have the above mentioned laptop that needed an LCD replacement. So, OK, got on Ebay and picked up a new one. Plugged in, nothing but colored stripes. got replacement in (both were new), plugged it in, blank black screen. Got another one in from different vendor. It blinks when the laptop is powered on, then goes black.
Strange thing is - I have a Inspiron 5160 for parts. I can plug in its LCD to the 1100, and it powers up and gives video like normal. The 5160 LCD has the inverter? attached to the bottom of the panel, so it will not fit inside the 1100's LCD trim.
Any suggestions?
