Someone just brought this to my attention. Normally, when you do a whois on microsoft.com, you get the normal info, site owner, contact info, etc...but l just did it a few minutes ago, and got this:

To single out one record, look it up with "xxx", where xxx is one of the
of the records displayed above. If the records are the same, look them up
with "=xxx" to receive a full display for each record.

The Registry database contains ONLY .COM, .NET, .ORG, .EDU domains and
Registrars.


What do you think? Did MS get a sense of humor, or is this another "hack"?

M$ prolly did it themselves to cause a bit of contraversy. They prolly love all the publicity they get around bulletins and newsgroups when this sorta stuff happens. They'll do anything to drill that dreaded word into everyones heads MICROSOFT MICROSOFT MICROSOFT.
