I know the BJC-80 is a little old, but I'm trying to print via infra-red on win98SE to the BJC-80. I can see the infra-red icon in the sys tray flashing away, it knows about the BJC-80 cos when I bring up the properties window of the infra-red it knows that it is within range (Good communications)

I know the printer is not at fault b'cos I can print via std centronics/parallel.

I have tried to disable bi-di printing, no avail.

The generic error msg that i get from windows is exactly the same as when as if the printer is turned off. ie. "There was an error writing to LPT3: ..." (LPT3 is the infra-red printing port)

Have d/led the latest drivers from the net off canon's website.

Any help pls - if anyone else has had experience with this.
