External HDD on Win2000.....
OK... I'm new to Windows 2000 (just loaded it on my laptop), and I have an old external HDD that I want to backup some information to. The external HDD connects through a centronics connector (back of external HDD) to a parallel connector, which connects to the back of my laptop. How do I get the PC to recognize the external HDD? I got it to work on my Win98 minitower box, but I honestly don't remember what I did to get it to recognize. All I know is that I didn't need drivers for it. Any ideas?
Thanks!
