I do very little with Novell, but recently my wife's office decided to some upgrading of their office workstations. The work stations were Windows 95 with 32mg ram. We upgraded the two workstations in the front office to Win 98 and 64mg ram. What was strange is that both of those systems would not connect up to the server again after the upgrade. After much tweaking with the network settings, I decided that it had to be hardware and swapped out the NIC cards. Voila! Problem solved.
I tried the origional NICs in another machine later and they were both dead!!
Has anyone else experienced this?? Why would an operating system upgrade kill to seemingly fine NIC cards???
