It's funny and absolutely coincidental that I posted an opinion on search engine when lookey here I find that Yahoo is offering a premium search which will charge between $1 and $4 per document with quantity rates as well.

The technology provider is Northern Light Technology.

Here is the article:

So fellas what'd ya think? I know in a previous post regarding search engines an individual did mention using Northern Light. WEre they referring to Northern Light's premium service? If not has anyone tried the premium paid search? Is it that much better than the google we discussed? Will this "fly" (i.e. Will Yahoo make money?)? If so, could this be the beginning of the end for quality free searches? If it makes Yahoo money wouldn't be just a matter of time before Google does the same?

Wasn't Windrivers search free before forcing me to go elsewhere to find drivers ? Are the days of free searches coming to an end (Yes I realize there will be searches that provide results of commercial companies selling stuff but I mean relevant free info)????????
