I'm starting to feel real stupid, and angry at Intel for making these "foolproof" boards. I have a D815EEA2 board, not the first out of the 81* boards, that I have trouble getting the system to boot up consistently. At times, and I can't finger exactly when, the system just stays dark. The cpu fan works, STR LED is on, power supply is on, but no go to the video. It even sounds like it's trying to kick the video at times. I have kinda narrowed it to power management and switching power supplies.
Does that sound likely?
Like I said, only in the 810 and 815 series have I had this trouble. I read somewhere that you have to pull the batt and power and then let the system sit for a long time (30+ mins)
I don't know. Driving me to drink again.
Any discussion on this would be appreciated.
Charlie
