I am trying to draw an image using my pressure & tilt sensitive graphics tablet and unless I move the pen very slowly, what I draw with the pen takes a few seconds before it appears on the screen. Image size is 7*5 inches @ 600DPI (4200*3000 pixels).

Shouldn't an Athlon XP 1700+ be enough for medium resolution image edeting?
