Nikon camera
I have a Nikon 880 digital camera. Camera works great, but my driver CD got all scratched up and I can't get anything to read it. This doesn't present much of a problem, I'll just go to Nikons website and grab the drivers. So I go there and the only software listed is an UPDATE to the driver CD. I can't install this update without having the original software already installed.
I thought that was a little goofy, so I called Nikon to see if I was just missing the link or what. The guy I talked to said that the drivers for the camera are only available on CD, so I asked if he could send me a CD. I'd be willing to pay a couple bucks for shipping and handling (CDs are so heavy), but Nikon wants me to PAY FOR THE DRIVERS!!!!
There's no way I'm gonna pay for software that I have to have in order for my hardware to work properly. So I guess for now I'm stuck with a useless camera. I hope Nikon realizes that they're loosing customers this way. I'll surely never buy from them again if they continue this.
Anyone else have any experiences like this? If so, did you pay or find another way?
