HI there , I am running Win xp home on my Pentuim 3 based system that has two physical drives which are partitioned into two partitons each
I have Norton sys works 2002 installed , I do not have that system doctor, I basically have the antivirus and some of the utilities I find usefull installed, One of those utilites is the speed disk defragmenter
When I run a defrag I notice that windows places a large amount of free space for system use at the begining of each drive
I have tried the wild card entry for my boot drive and it worked for a while
When I had Win 9x , speed disk would place my swap file at the begining of the drive ( fixed size )and then my files, all the free space would follow the files of course
Does amy one know of a setting I could tweak, I am running the NTFS system on all my drives as well , thanks in advance
