Flabooble!
Sound gets messed up by Premier when editing MPEG files.
I have a Sony 707 and can take mpeg video with it. I pull the files over with no difficulty and they playback just fine.
When I pull the files into Adobe Premier the sound gets really funky with the volume on some sounds being lowered while others have the volume raised within the same clip. The worst thing it does is it doubles the sound up like an echo and it ruins the whole feel of the video. The initial playback is fine then Premier just shreds it.
I am using the default settings of the program to edit. I have updated my sound card (SB live value) to the latest drivers. I use Win 2000 as my OS. No other file type has this problem and editing mpegs downloaded from the web doesn't give me this problem. I am at a loss - anyone every seen this or have any suggestions?
