Aopen FM56-PM Voice/Fax Modem
S.O.S. S.O.S.
Some Please help!
(I barely got to this page!)
Anyway, i've been using this modem for quite a while now (almost a year) and it seems to be giving up on me. It stalls about every 5-10 minutes and disconnects at random times. I checked to see if idle disconnect was on, nope. I checked all the settings, nothing wrong there. I also checked to see wether there is a problem with my ISP but it seems to work fine on other people's computers i try, even with the same modem!
However, when i try to use it at home, it gives up on me occasionally.
My computers configuration is as follows:
Asus P3V4X motherboard
Pentium 3 667Mhz Proc
192 MB RAM (PC133)
NVidia Cougar Video Edition (AGP)TNT2 M64
Soundblaster Live! MP3+
MPEG decoder
NIC
Firewire card
and the modem
running Windows ME
Running other operating systems doesn't help!
Who ever know how to fix this problem, PLEASE HELP!
Thank You!
