Now that I have your attention...

I've heard from unofficial sources the ID servers no longer checked for the CD Key file for authorizing Quake3 installs to see (and join) Internet game servers.

This could be good news to those who have lost their CD key for this game, as a few have mentioned this problem in the past.

Can anyone confirm this?
