    Unhappy Philips external CD burner not recognized

    No one can answer this - hopefully someone out there can help. I installed a Philips external USB CD burner per instructions - PCRW464K47 and while "device manager" recognizes the device, "my computer" does not and will not assign a drive letter. I called Philips and they said that a conflict exists with my Iomega zip drive or the software. The zip drive is internal and there is NO Iomega software - in fact, it has nothing to do with the USB port. Adaptec [Roxio] 5.0 does not recognize the drive but while Nero 5.5 does not show any drive letter for the burner, it does burn copies. Anybody got an idea?
