so for giggles the other night....
Me and the misses were cleaning the basement, i find an oldish pIII proc mobo w/2 isa slots...
i was lead to belive it was a dead board, but what the hell i'm a geek... what was there to loose...
so i pop in a hardrive, video, ram seat it into a box...on the hard drive i got a copy of the satan os...power the system up, blue screens 2, chdisk, blue screen....it loads. no poop in fact i am now running it as my ics gateway....
so all i didn't do an install at all, just put in a harddrive with winxp on it....
ahh the joys of being both a packrat and a geek......
