Problem

The problem I am having with my DVD durner is that it records fine on small files but large files it just hangs the system. I get so far say on 30% and then it just stops. I've been trying to transfur a 133MB file which is windowsXPSP1 but as it gets half way windows XP just stops and I have to turn off the computer and back on again. Though 6 and 10 mb files copy fine it just seems the real big files. Can any one help me with this problem#?
