Java Virtual Machine
I have just reinstalled XP home on my rig and now I have this dialouge box come up when I load the windrivers homepage and another site , It basicaly tells me that I need to download and instal the "Java Virtual Machine ".I am eventully linked to Winodws update and when I download the update for the Microsoft VM I am told it will only update a previous version of the virtual machine
SO I am stuck, I can not rewrite the XP setup file to install it, I may just sell the XP Cd and go back to 98 se since it had no problem
This is a fresh install of XP home on an Asus p4b533 with a P 4 1.6 gig CPU, 1 gig of ram, 128 meg video card, Two 60 ig Maxtor Drives on a pomise 133 controller, LG burner and combo drive
I have de bugged my hardware, I checked the same sites on my 98 box with no problems
I use IE 6 but may be forced to use Netscape or maybe even Linux
I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers and service packs, I even zero filled and reinstalled this OS, I am starting to really hate M$
Any body have any ideas as to getting the JVM , I have serached and M$ is dropping it
Format c I'm givin er all she's got cap'in !!! )
