HP JetDirect connection issue
Bought a LaserJet 5Si Mx w/ JetDirect (J2552B). Installed HP TCP/IP port printer drivers on Win98 and the software saw the machine. I can ping the address and arp -a returned its IP along with the Ethernet address on the PCL config. test page.
However, I can't seem to telnet to it (either through port 23 or 9100). They are connected through a Linksys Cable/DSL router (don't know model #). When I go to print, after about a minute, I get back something about no connection to port.
I've tried to set the printer's gateway address to the router's near side IP address and the address of the JetDirect card itself (a little tidbit offered by HP's site).
Could the router be dropping return packets from filtering somehow? I was going to make a crossover and connect directly to the computer to test this theory out (didn't have time this morning), but I doubt that's the issue.
Could it be a configuration issue on the printer side?
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Late post:
What are the DLC/LLC settings on JetDirect for? Do I have to have that enabled to print from windows on the LaserJet?
