We have a compaq proliant 3000, dual PII 450's that we use for our file server. It runs Novell 5 and also handles NDPSM as well.
Over the last month or two its been losing time slowly. And at a regular pace. I figure hey thats an easy fix, CMOS battery.
So we order the replacement from Compaq, one of those external battery types, plugs in via some lead outs on the board and you switch a jumper over for it.
Problem is, after replacing the battery this past saturday, I come in on monday morning and find its still lost the same amount of time.
Anyone been the in the same boat before? Cause right now only thing I can think of is maybe I got a bad battery.
