I have a Sony DRU-510A DVD recorder. I am not able to record a cd-r on it as it refuses to see the media. I have tried memorex and tdk blanks to no use.
it does record dvd+r as I have the movie to prove it! (i used a packard bell disk).

I have seen on some other site that there are a few issues.. what can i do?

all drivers are up to date ( so there!)
