ive infortunately just had to replace in the space of a month 2 harddrives for a friend. the guy understandably now has no faith in pcs.. anyhow i said i'd set him up a mirrored array.. buy him a controlelr card and second hardrive.. unfortunately i can not get my hands on an exact same drive as the one that he has installed(an ibm 120gxp 60gig) i know i know the death star(but at least its not the 60gxp or the 75 for that matter).. so doubley need the protection the array whould provide.. after reading much and installing many arrays ive got to say that ive never actually used drives of different makes on an array and was wondering if another make(a western digital) of the same capcity would be ok..
