Recently had a virus which wiped a lot of stuff off my PC...had to reload a lot of stuff including Win 98.

The problem is, when loading Windows, it chose general monitor as my driver (which KTX just so happens to recommend anyway)...now I can only get 16 colours.

I have tried fooling around with the setting (eg SVGA 600x800) etc, but in the end I still only have 16 colours and chunky text...

I know the monitor is capable of better because before the problem, it was SVGA 256 colours, small fonts etc.

Is this a rpblem with my driver, or is there something else I have to do with settings, config, or some unknown technique reserved for the technogurus....
