xp network place connection

hi,

i'm just wondering how come some of our computers running winxp, keeps on disconnecting from the LAN(win2000 server). All nic drivers are ok, it's just that when you first login, lan connection to shared folder is ok, but after a while(no specific duration) when we look back at the shared folder on windows explorer, we can't connect. and the search takes very long, before it says network not available. but upon checking other computers, the others can connect to the same shared folder. these happens at random to all computers.

note that all computers access the shared folder from the server only.
