BTW ... if I remember 'correctly' sndvol32.exe's installation is something 'kicked' off by the detection process, on original setup, so its not unknown for it just not to be 'there'... I think to have it present xp must have found something it 'thought' was 'somehow' a s/c, even if it didn't have working drivers for it. I wouldn't worry about its 'absence' anyway
A 'fix' for you (JSI faq - this gives you the correct 'expands' if you don't fancy searching all your cabs)
