help win xp wont boot
ok guys im new to this so if i sound like an idiot just let me know!
serious one here that i hope someone more knowledgeable than me can help with
there was a power cut and my computer was turned of, when i turned it back on windows failed to boot, i got the usual start up stuff but just as it was about to go to the password screen it re-started and tried to boot again.
having put the windows xp cd in and tried to boot from that, it told me that the file tffsport.sys was corrupted so i had to restart my computer
i tried to run automated system recovery from the windows xp cd but it then asked for the floppy disk labeled "automated system recovery" or something, i don't have this disk, i don't even have a floppy drive (laptop) and now am completely clueless as to what to do
i have reports and stuff that needs to be handed in tomorrow and cannot get them off my computer
if anyone has ANY clue about anything that could help me their input would be much appreciated
im getting desperate here!!
