Please help

I am trying to connect my Sony Camcorder DCR PC105E to my PC running XP Pro, to be able to create DVD's via Fire Wire Cable.

I have read and tried eveything that was advised to Clark Kent but nothing worked not even the Formatting of my PC....

I have a VIA OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller installed and working but as soon as i connect the Camcorder and run the install program i get error Sony DV-VCR "The Data is Invalid".
