M7VIB-A - will not post (sometimes) BIOSTAR:M7VIB-A

System is about 2 years old its one of those from tiger sales TV. I got it as an after thought (going behind a so called Tech) have no clue as to what was done.

Label on bios chip states that it is a Phoenix bios, but on post it states the bios is an Award. Also at times it will see the voltage control in the bios but other times it dose not. Memory checks good, so does Video card. Starts to post than it hanges a vidoe inst. it has booted in to dos 2 times after clearing cmos and holding Insert key.

I’m thinking a Bad bios flash, any ideas?

BIOSTAR:M7VIB-A motherboard
AMD 1700+ XP chip
384mb Memory total (128+256 DDR)
ATI Xpert 2000 pro 32MB video card
And a host of other that came with the computer
