MS-Dos Compatability Mode problems
I would like to know how to force Windows 95 to use its own drivers and not MS-Dos compatability mode drivers. I have tried re-installing Windows 3 times now but for some reason my C Drive still uses Dos Drivers, and I get all the useless information in the performance tab. I have deleted my autoexec.bat and config.sys files but that achieved nothing .... is there an easy way to prevent Dos drivers being used, or do I have to keep formatting my drive until I get lucky and Windows uses it brain not to install them <-- Could be a while. I had the same problem on my other machine but I had compatability mode problems on all my drives, inc CDROM, but for some reason is worked fine the 3rd time I formatted. Is there a specific way to go about installing Windows 95? I use the boot disk provided and use it to format my drive after I fdisk it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated peoples, thanks.
