Hey guys, didn't know where to post this, thought this might be the best spot.. I was just wondering if anyone knew, or would care to hypothesise why, when a dial-up connection (or perhaps any internet connection, i just only noticed with dial up) is terminated, all of windows grinds to a halt for a moment and the hard drive goes nuts and then all is ok.
I was just wondering what the computer is actually doing at that time? Telling all the apps that internet is no longer on? Updating log files for the goddamn modem? Just wondering. THanks guys.
