modem command
i have got this problem, whenever i connect to the internet with a adsl modem my dial up modem tries to dial up somewhere, but it can`t cause i unplugged the in phone line and what happens is that it uses all my cpu power for about 3 minutes till it gives up,i can`t find any virus or worm or trjon, but i think it may be some program trying to connect out to it`s home company, but as everything is frozen i can`t check up what does this, with the old harware modem at lest on some of them we could get the last few number it dialed and i wonder if you can do this and if yes what the command is as i plain forgot, sure hope someone can help me out, cause the only other way will be to format and redo which i don`t like doing that much.thanks to anyone who will try to help out
